Changing terminal colors
At bashrc file you can find a value to make the prompt colorful
force_color_prompt=yes
To customize the colors just modify the line below:
if [ "$color_prompt" = yes ]; then
PS1='${debian_chroot:+($debian_chroot)}\[\033[01;32m\]\u@\h\[\033[00m\]:\[\033[01;34m\]\w\[\033[00m\]\$ '
else
PS1='${debian_chroot:+($debian_chroot)}\u@\h:\w\$ '
fi

Adding bash commands
You just need to add them to alias by editing bashrc
add these lines to the bashrc file
alias hsearch='history | grep' ----> just for search history quickly
alias projectDir='cd /opt/projects/myproject' ---> to go my project dir easily
alias kermit='kermit -y /etc/kermit/kermrc' ----> en axample of using an executable with its arguments
